BandsByMe.com was a website that allows music lovers to easily get a list of all the local bands playing in their area. It had global reach and monitors approximately 250,000 facebook pages to extract out the events bands post. It is based on HTML5 with a SQL Server back end. It also makes heavy use of Facebook for the raw input, and Google Maps for the geolocation services.
